Food Science Sweden strengthens research for a sustainable and healthy food system

Food Science Sweden brings together some of Sweden’s leading research environments in food science to drive the development of a more sustainable, resilient, and health‑promoting food system. Through joint research initiatives, innovation projects, and the national graduate school LiFT, the network works across the entire value chain—from raw materials to consumer health.

The work spans key areas such as sustainable production, public health, food security, circular economy, and global fairness. Together, the member organisations generate new knowledge, innovations, and solutions that support both Swedish and international food system transformation.
