PhD Project: Stabilisation of Ulva sp. biomass and its effects on nutritional properties, microstructure, tech functionality and development of volatile compounds

My research focuses on the stabilization of Ulva sp. biomass and its effects on nutritional properties, microstructure, techno functionality, and the development of volatile compounds. The aim is to design tailor-made methods for stabilizing Ulva sp. and determine how these methods affect its suitability as a food ingredient in terms of chemical composition, microstructure, techno functionality, and nutritional properties.

This PhD project is part of Work Package 3 (WP3) of the larger BLUEGREEN project and is also associated with the BLUEFOOD centre, both funded by Formas.
